Are you Guys Interested in a Facebook Like Activity Stream(Feed) for BuddyPress

1. Hi All,
   I hope most of you might have wanted to include the facebook like Activity stream on user profile(when the user is logged in, It should show the activity of the user as well as the activity of the friends of the user).

   I have worked on a plugin which makes it almost possible.

   What it does:-
   1. It shows the activity stream of user mixed with the activity of his/her friends as in case of facebook.

   2. What id does not do:-
   -It can't show the hidden activity of a friend, even if the activity is visible somewhere else(for example, the user activities in a private group even if both the users are member of the same group). That is a limitation of bp activity at the moment.

   So, what do you guys think, will you be interested in testing this plugin ?

   When visiting your profile, It should redirect you to Your Stream page. On Your Stream page, you can post the new updates as well as you can see all the activities in your stream(your activity+your friends activity).

   Please test and let me know if it works for you or not.

   Please note:- this is a members only release at the moment for testing purpose and I haven't aded the language file. Will add it after a couple of feedbacks :)

   here is the new version

   It removes all the limitations of earlier version and Now I can proudly say, It does mimc exactly the facebook atctivity feed works. Yes, It will include feeds from your private/hidden groups too.

   Another thing, It can be easily extended to support including the items from any component.

   Please try this and let me know if it works or not.

7. Actually it does I think, when i get onto my activity stream now I can see my stream, but actually im using a plugin for límiting the activity stream just to friends, then I see the same on those diferent places...

   What I wish for a perfect activity plugin its

   1) On general activity just see mine, my groups and my friends and thats all. (actually i guess that a switch to play or stop this feature would be so cool)

   2) On my own profile stream, I will be able to see my activity and the ones that affect me, like people talking on groups that i am in, and people who mention it, or tagging, you know! Or even people that writes straight to my wall.

   3) On another user walls; sorry just a break (each user is capable to choose what other users see); ok, in another user walls you should see their activity, and the ones that affect him, or nothing if users says that!

   I know its pretty big, but just in case its help you to take some directions!!! Thanks for you huge effort!

8. Hi Bluelf,

   This plugin is not a replacement of what BuddyPress already does.
   The aim of this plugin is to allow users to see all their network wide activity(i. his activity, his friends activity, his groups activity etc) on one page just as facebook does.

   So, this is basically what you get when you are on your facebook home page(not the facebook profile page).

   Your points are very good and I believe that can be itself a very good plugin in future.
