I activated your blog categories Plugin and One Quick Post. I Move “bcg” directory from blog-categories-for-groups to my child theme. I also tried to have a copy of bcg on the reviewit theme ONLY. I also tried having a copy in both child and main theme.

    1. In the Group create step: I do not have the Blog Categories Tabs when you "CREATE A GROUP" (like in your screenshot).

    2. In Group Blog Home Page there is no "Blog" Tab (like in your screenshot).

    3. In the Group Admin Page I do not have the Blog Categories Tab (like in your screenshot).

Resolving these issues for this plugin is what I am waiting on to go Live with the site. Please help.

    thanks so much,
    Jeanie

  2. Hi Jeanie,
Let me check and get back to you in a couple of minutes.

  3. Please use this one
    1. It fixes the issue.
    2. It adds an additional option on Group settings screen to enable/disable bcg for a group

    Hope that helps.

  5. Categories is now working but the Blog Tab with Create a Post is not working.
It says "Sorry, the post does not exists!" when I click on Create a post.
Am I suppose to do anything else after activating the One Quick Post plugin?

    thanks.

  6. You will need to enable one quick post for everywhere from the settings page of one quick post.

  7. I installed One Quick Post .5.7-alpha by G.Breant. i don't see this option to enable from settings page. I only see option to add shortcode info.

    Thanks.

  8. The .5.7 has changed everything. It will not work with the blog categories. Please download the one I have attached on the plugin page. For future, I am writing my own front end post editor.

  11. @Zahid the link to revised one quick post plugin is located after the images and just under the download link to Blog Categories for Groups plugin and just above the heading, Installation.

  12. @mercime thanks for directing me to download.
    1. I installed one quick post and it only works if I check on Enable shortcode.
    2. I also still get the "Sorry, the post does not exists!" with pink BG above and below the Group Nav items even though the post fields are there for me to edit and add my posts.
    3. I enabled Enable WYSIWYG on quick post settings and installed Tiny MCE Advanced but not showing up on front end.

    thanks again.

  13. @mercime :)
Yeh, I am planning a couple of plugins for bp 1.3 which will need that. So, I checked almost all the available plugins and everyone had their on pros & cons. Finally, decided to write a general purpose front end editor, so it could be used anywhere with any plugin :)

    @Zahid.
    1. That is required.
    2. If you do not do that, or you have not selected a category or a category has no post, and that category is attached, you will get that message.

    3. Not sure about that, as except bp-custom-post plugin I don't think others are supporting any Advance UI. And bp-custom-post has a lot of its own quirks.

  14. @sbrajesh That will be really cool :-) Thank you.

I deactivated Tiny MCE Advanced.I thought it was the plugin I needed to show the editing icons on the front end when you create a post. For example, paragraph, bold, italics, paragraph alignment icons etc. like in your screenshot isn't showing up on the front end. I only see Visual and HTML buttons. I have Tiny MCE enabled in the one quick post plugin but not showing up. How do I get these editing icons to show up on front end?

  16. I see the problem with enabling tinyMce in 3.1 and oqp modified. Looking at the issue. seems like a oqp &3.1 issue. will update again this topic once I get the issue today.

I noticed that the post editing icons show up on IE8 but not on Firefox.
Also the following error happens only on IE8 when I try to publish the post (Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/56/7376956/html/web/wp-content/themes/3girlsblog/header.php:2) in /home/content/56/7376956/html/web/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 897). I don't know if it's related to the one quick post plugin or the modifications my programmer did (he was working on upload feature for the post (upload working on Firefox) to upload images and also to edit the post (edit post working on Firefox)).

There is no edit button showing up on front end to edit post once published. Is there suppose to be an edit button built in for this plugin?
    thnx.

  18. As far as I remember, OQP does not allow editing(I may be wrong as I haven't tested it extensively) from front end. so, that is right.
As of posting is concerned, It is working fine on my local install(No wysiwyg though). Please ask your developer to check if there is anything like space remaining on the line 2 of header.php (I don't think it can cause an issue, but the error is pointing that).

If that does not help., take a backup of the oqp modified by your developer and put the one pointed in above links. Is that working or giving the same error ?

  19. @sbrajesh the error was fixed. but need to resolve why the Visual editing icons are showing up on IE8 for the one quick post but on Mozilla it only displays the Visual and HTML buttons, (no paragraph buttons, italics etc.).
    thanks.

  20. Thanks for the info. I need to investigate a little more into it. will get back anytime later today.

  21. Brajesh, I am having the same problem.

Also, isn't there supposed to be an image button as well?

Couple sites I am using this on, both use bp-mag with child theme and custom css using mycss plugin.

    Any help is appreciated.

  22. I am dropping support for OQP's older version and looking to put something as @Bowe has suggested in on of the topics. Please wait for a couple of days and you will have it.

    Posted 1 year ago #
  23. That would be cool Brajesh. In effect, will this be the replacement for OQP?

If so, laterally will that replacement assist in a new "Blog Categories for MEMBERS" plugin? Sorry, couldn't resist :-)

  24. Ok, I will wait. Thank you.
