After installing, I have a few issues.
1) The Latest Post widget isn't showing images, like it does on the demo page of the site. Am I doing something wrong?
2) The Archive pages aren't showing any images either.
3) The Site Blog is empty. I select the blog tab, go to the page, but nothing shows up. Do I need to select something in on the Reading page to make this work right?

Here's another one.
Pulling up an archive, I've got a "Recent Site Wide Activity" widget in use. The problem is that it's displaying Youtube posts and images that are pushing out over the border of the widget column; that in turn throws all of the spacing off on the page.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is this a problem with the plugin / widget?
Just got done doing more testing. The formatting error for the Site Wide widget occurs when it's placed in the Global Sidebar. Within the other side bars, the formatting is correct.
As for the images, I discovered I had to click the Featured Image option to get an image to appear in the posts widget and in the archives. But I was under the impression the theme was supposed to pull an image on it's own? And I'm still having problems, as the main image for a post is the first thing that the Featured Post widget is displaying on the main page. It looks terrible, which makes me think I'm not doing something right.
And I still can't get the site blog page to work.
Suggestions would be great.
Yeah, recent posts are not showing on my homepage either.

Theme can still pull the image with a few lines of code here, as I have put the functionality but not activated in favor of Featured Thumbnail. The featured thumbnail is much better in processing.
I saw the trouble with featured Posts on your home page. The excerpt is really looking bad. let me check something similar on my page and will post.

Please login to dashboard, then please check the featured posts settings in widget section where you have added. Are they correct. They will appear if you have the settings correct. Please try again.
Yes, everything seems to be coming together. I did not have the Featured Posts widget on the home page.
B, for testing purposes, I went ahead and changed the images on the first two posts to thumbnail / featured image. Apparently though, that throws the sidebar off. Something in the excerpt call is messing up the CSS on the sidebar.
As we're still working out all of the kinks, I turned Theme Test Drive on so the users don't have to see us monkeying around with this. To see BP-Mag running on my site, add "?theme=bp-mag" to any page, like this: http://doorq.com/?theme=bp-mag
Overall, I think it's going to be easier if you use the coding to pull a thumbnail instead of having a user set it. I think the hit to performance is tolerable, given how fast the rest of the page is.

I see the issue. I am updating the bpmag addons pack for the widget, should solve that issue. The code is already there, so I will need to apply a filter. let me see, will update in a couple of hours.
Have you had a chance to update the addons?
B, have you been able to update the add-on pack to deal with the excerpting / image thumbnail issue? And have you been able to fix the fact that the site blog is empty when selected?
And are you doing anything fun tonight for New Years? :-D

I have a problem with the BP-Gallery and the BP MAG Theme
When i klick the Gallery ( the Single, Group and genral Gallery ) all my widgets on the right side throw UNDER the Gallery !
Where is the problem ? What can I do ????
Brajesh is working on this theme. He is out of town for a couple days more. He will post up this weekend or next week. He has promised tons of stuff coming with the next update.

What do you guys think, should I put the bp mag for download or complete templates for achievements/buddypress links etc mentioned in the other thread first ?

Can you give me some pointers on moving the group, member, gallery and event header areas to the left column under the profile and group/member/gallery/event navigation areas of the bpmag-classic theme?
I'm having the same issue with the 'recent posts' widget showing text only. I'm unable to find the 'featured posts' setting in my widget section. I downloaded bpmag fewer than 6 days ago. If there's a correction to this or something I'm missing, please let me know. Thanks!
Hi Baba,
The setting is not in widgets.
It is found in the Post page. On the new post/edit post you will see the "featured image" box(mostly below the categories/tag box). Please make sure to upload an image there.
Thanks - I uploaded an image to the 'set featured image' link, but on my 'recent activity' widget, it's not showing. There's still just bulleted hyperlinks.
If you want to show the featured image in recent posts, do not leave the maximum characters length to '0' set to to some limit(say 500 or anything which suits you).
