BP-Tricks Relaunch|BuddyDev Premium Forum

Hi guys,

I thought I'd let you guys know that a relaunch of BP-Tricks.com is almost there..

BP-Tricks will hopefully become a resource for great BuddyPress tips and tricks. Everyone can submit code/design/inspirational Tricks through a front-end form or the backend, and by doing so you’ll earn Awards (Paul his Achievement Plugin) and badges awarded by me. The best new trick each month earns a nice price (currently a Free theme, but I’ll try to get some sponsors) and they get listed on the front page in the Widget of Fame :)

The Activity Stream is purely meant to be a source of information displaying ONLY new Tricks, external Tricks (BP-Links from @MrMaz) and external member blogs from our members (if you blog about BuddyPress or anything related to it) you can add your RSS feed to your profile and people who follow you get your updates in their stream. This plugin will be released to the community when the site launches next week.

There’s also a customized search feature which only searches the BuddyPress network (BP.org, BP-Tricks, WPMU.org, Etivite.com, BuddyDev.com, ShabuShabu.eu etc) and a bunch of other stuff which I probably forgot to tell.

All the site features remain free, and also the site will be Ad free for as long as I earn enough to keep it running without loosing money on it.

There is also a Premium Theme for sale which has a huge bunch of features.. Currently there's a 20% discount on pre-orders, so you might want to take a look at that.

If you want to help out and have some Tricks to share, just let me know so I can give you early access to the site to submit tricks and look around :)

The feature sets seems awesome, did I say, It's AWESOME!

Just registered an account there and I am looking forward to the site launch next week.

The Bp slick theme looks awesome, you have put a great effort and It will come as a long time winner.

Thanks Brajesh and Patrick!

It's good to see you both as members on BP-Tricks. It would be really nice if you'd shared some of your BuddyPress knowledge when the site is launched. You both know MUCH more from writing code then I do, so some coding tutorials would be awesome :-)

ps: Brajesh today I've been working on your BP Profile Widget to remove the tables and turn them into divs. When it's done I'll send you the file and if you like it, you can update the widget :-)

and yes, if you make that plugin div based instead of table, please do forward me the css/plugin, I will put it in the update with due credit :)

I've activated your account Brajesh.. quite suprised that somehow the welcome mail has not been sent. That seems to be quite an issue with a lot of BuddyPress installs.. I'll see if I can find a skip registration email plugin somewhere!

I did not know how to add the css to the widget, so I've included the css before the plugin starts.. You might need to check the code to see I've done nothing wrong, but it works fine on my install :)
