    I am glad to release our very first feature rich child theme for BP Mag. Cosmic Buddy pro is available for download now:-

    Cosmic Buddy Pro supports all the components supported by BP Mag.

    technical details: As you will see I have created this theme using the hooks system of BP mag without modifying/copying a single file of BP mag(except Blog archive page). All the thinsg you see in cosmic Buddy pro is done via functions.php/style.css.

    I created this theme to demonstrate the capability of BP Mag theme Framework as well as to make some nice looking BuddyPress theme.

  2. Hi Brajesh,

    Two issues:

    The first one is the JCROP crop is non functional as is. Uploaded images show up tiny and the Crop tool works the opposite way than it should, expanding when it should contract but never show the complete image.

    The second one I PM'd you about with regard to the wfb-connect throwing a javascript error

    Have you upgraded the parent theme to Bp Mag 1.0.4./1.0.5 That was a bug with Parent theme. Please Upgrade BP Mag to 1.4.0.5 and It will be fixed.

  6. Please check the languages directory of the cb-pro theme.
    you should put the translated file in the cb-pro/languages directory. this file is loaded with the main translation file from bp-mag. i.e if the translation file is present in child theme, it is loaded and then the translation from the parent theme is loaded. So, you can just put the translation for a couple of cb-pro specific strings in the cb-pro/languages directory, and It will work,.

  7. Brajesh, I tried the pro theme out for a couple of hours today and am blown away by it...

    There are a couple of things that I would need to see how to do before I could implement it.

    1. There is not way to make the activity stream the "front page"... in the bp-default theme there was an activity option in the drop down to choose this... this does not appear in the bp-mag. What I did was make a blank page template using the activity index and created a new "activity page"... it almost worked... some of the css was messy though and you couldn't use the bp-mag widgets on the front page because of this.

    2. There is no good way to make the non buddypress pages appear in this theme other than to pull up a page widget... this is less than desirable. Would be nice if you could put a sub-navigation directly under the blue tabs on the top...

    Those were the two major issues... KUDOS on the most beautiful template I've seen to date for BP.

    If you are able to resolve the top two things, this will be the template I use for my major BuddyPress site. I would LOVE to use this and would be willing to donate even some more money that the BD subscription to see the above two accomplished.

    Just as an fyi, the CD-AVATAR bubble works, but the edges of the bubble do not appear correct with the theme....

    To be more clear:

    With regard to one... when the bpmag and pro are activated I get no option to choose BuddyPress Activity Stream as the front page like I do as can be see here in the system/reading page:

    Thanks for the posts.It is the best compliment a theme developer can get :)
    I am so glad you liked it. yes, I will fix all those issues today itself. We will have updated bpmag/cbpro tomorrow.
    I had left the activity settings intentionally, as I am sure is deprecated in buddypress 1.3(as they are pages), but putting back for bp 1.2.x series.

    Adding the sub nav is easy, I will just add the action to show the subnav and you can use bp-mag secondary nav(either wp3 custom menu or category/page menu) with that.

    and finally thanks for letting me know about cd avatar bubble, I have tried to test with most of the plugins but it was left. The fix will be there in the upcoming version.

    Awesome... Even if the sub-navigation was a thinner (vertically) or darker line/row of text that would be fine... Your overall look of this is quite stunning...

    I had got the theme completed yesterday with nav menus and activity on front page supporting. While testing I found a couple of issues related to BP Links and Achievements, so did not upload. I will do my best to upload it today :)

    The theme is ready. Since, It needs an updated version of BP Mag, I have yet not put it for download. I am working on a couple new enhancements of Bp Mag, had added support for cube points, trying to build the paginated activity page(with option to use either paginated activity or load more) and a couple of more new enhancements(ajaxified loading of member pages etc). yesterday, I updated templates of BP mag for many major components which had an update for BuddyPress 1.2.8.

    So, It is just a few enhancements in BPMag that I have yet not put the themes for download. Just trying to avoid another release of BP mag for next 1-2 weeks, so consolidating the feature in current release. Anyway, I have a working install of current version and it works well. Even if I am unable to put activity pagination etc, I will put both the updates for download by Thursday Night, PST.

    I have just put the updated version online.
    Please Download the updated BP Mag and Cosmic Buddy pro. Cosmic Buddy pro 1.0.1 will need at least BP mag v 1.0.7 or above to work.

    I have fixed the issues, addes secondary navigation, added support for activity on front page and also fixed the CD Avatar bubble. Other than that, there are a few mre changes which won't be visible on the them in general. Could not make activity pagination, but I hope to put that in the next version of Bp mag. Also, hopefu;lly, the newxt version of BP Mag will have a better Admin panel.

    Please do let me know if you find any issue.

    Love this... I just tried it for a few minutes this morning.... I am going to try to completely move over to this theme today and tomorrow for our site.

    One obvious thing jumped out at me today when trying it this morning, the fluidity of the theme (width wise) seems to work every where except for the activity stream...which looks odd on wider screens... is there a quick CSS fix for the activity stream to make it expand fluidly as well?

    sorry for delayed reply.
    yes, you can use the theme in fluid mode or fixed mode. Not only that, you can opt for content/sidebar or sidebar/content layout. It gives the same 6 layout combination as BP mag, I kept that in mind while developing and I hope it works.

    can you please get me a screenshot of the activity page(when it is not working on resizing etc), as i checked and It is working for me here.

    version 1.0.3 with a couple of more enhancements here

    -Fixes BP Profile Privacy layout on edit profile
    -Fixes the bug introduced in 1.0.2(due to absolute positioning of userbar)
    -Fixes the search bo not expanding

    There is one issue remaining though:- If you are using secondary navigation, then you may no have many items in the dropdown of secondary nav, cause header is set to overflow:hidden and will not show any time drop down going beyond it. Fixing this issue may break the layout(and the secondary nav was not what I anticipated to use on many sites), so I am leaving that as is.

    Found another minor theme issue:

    When I click on a user's profile and click on their friends (in the bottom blue bar), It also changes the number of my friends (in the black bar) to match that of the person's I'm viewing... Probably easier to see in this picture:

    I actually have 579 friends a the time of this picture, but when I view the other user's profile it changes mine to match theirs...

  26. Hi Joseph,
    I am aware of the issue. There is a bug in "bp_get_loggedin_user_nav" function that always shows the same count for logged in user as for the displayed user, when you are visiting other users profile. You can check it from My account drop down menu(In the BuddyPress bar) when visiting other user's profile. I will try to put a supplementary function of my own to solve this issue.
