  1. Hey there,

I'm having some issues with the Facebook Connect plugin. I left the following questions on the appropriate page, but I've not heard back yet. Thanks in advance -

The plugin looks to be extremely well done, but I’m just having some issues with it. You can see a screenshot of my login page here – http://screencast.com/t/gtlEMkHuXPyk. I’m only getting the blog up and running, so I am the only member so far. So I had a friend test the Facebook login feature who obviously wasn’t a member previously. He said he saw a login button where the red arrow is pointing, but that when he clicked it nothing much seemed to happen, and he certainly wasn’t logged in after doing so. Then he tried clicking the button below, but the Facebook login wizard only opens briefly and then immediately closes. I have the same issue when I try and use it. So as of yet, it hasn’t been possible to use the Facebook login. I’m just wondering if you know what the problem could be. I’d also be curious how I can change the text on that login button.

Following is an image of the backend of Facebook Connect+ – http://www.screencast.com/t/Bf1FPhQ3ZND I don’t receive any of the options for mapping the profile fields as is laid out in the documentation. Just wondering if you have any idea why this is.

Let me thank you in advance for any help you can give !

  2. Hi David,
sorry I could not get back earlier.

    1. Please ask your friend to clear cookies and logout from facebook and try again.

    2. You don't have the xprofile fields(other than first name), that's why you don't sdee the mapping as shown in demo. Please login to Dashboard->BuddyPress->XProfile and create some fields which you want to import from facebook. Once you create those fields, they will appear on the facebook connect+ settings page.

One more point to mention, please make sure the facebook api credentials in the settings are correct and there is no space before/after them(I saw this issue on one of the site and they had an space before the secret key).
