Facebook login with "username" profile & privacy options: is this possible?

1. Very pleased with my BuddyDev membership so far but have something I am trying to accomplish & wonder if anyone can recommend suitable plugins to achieve this...

   1) user can login / register with Facebook (DONE via Buddydev plugin)
   2) user can create a username & display this name instead of real name
   3) user can keep any profile information private (eg they do not have to disclose their real name) or only for friends

   2. User can change their user name, please use Bp User name changer plugin for that

   The problem with using BP Username Changer is that I don't want people to change their usernames

   & I think the problem with Buddypress Usernames Only is that the FB plugin auto-generates an "ugly" username....so the site would not look good!

   My ideal situation would be that someone can register with FB & then choose their name (which cannot be changed)....however not sure if this is possible.

   PS. number 3 was in regard to privacy settings ie. allowing user to hide/show profile elements to other users

   I agree with you on the generated Username.

   The facebook plugin looks for a facebook username(if user has set any) other wise uses the first name/last name of the user to generate it.

   What about modding the username changer to allow changing of user name only once ?

   3. sorry I missed it earlier. what about using bp profile privacy plugin ?
