Nope, odd. I checked with 2 different user accounts. "My Favorites" subnav tab is there for all to see, but "Add to Favorites" doesn't show on topic pages unless logged in as admin.

I've tried deactivating plugins, but there doesn't seem to be any interference. Anything else I should check?

  2. Brajesh,

Any way we can have "My Favorites" also show on a member's Profile Page under "my favorites"? It would be a slick way to track forum threads from BP.

Yes, It can be, that's why I had opted for the 2 level menu in the My Topics code. Currently, it will not be much effective as the favorite topics requires user to be logged in.

I am putting it in the global forum, but that will be available on Saturday. If you want it earlier, please do let me know.

@Patrick, seems I missed some tag. fix is coming. :)

  5. Why can't I delete forums?

  6. @rjga
You can. Go to Global forum->admin->Manage forums and click on the delete link below the forum. Is it giving any error ?

    @Patrick
Yes, you have always been quick at finding them :)

  7. Hello,
On my site, the sidebar widgets are lining up underneath my forums. Was wondering if anyone would know how I can fix this, or better yet how I can have the forums on a page similar to gallery page (2 columns instead of 3).

    http://YouRideIRide.com/siteforums

I know its probably a theme issue, but was just checking in case anyone could help. Gallery displays perfectly, but GF seems to be using a different page template and one column is under the forums.

    Thanks for any help.

  8. Hi Shane,
I will be helping you on this issue but after tomorrow as I will be traveling whole day tomorrow. It is just matter of theme adjustment and some simple changes in theme will do that.

  10. Hi Brajesh,
I'm still seeing weird issues with my global forums install. I tested oembed of a vimeo url in group forums and it worked fine but when I post that in my global forums, it displays nothing. The interesting thing is that it doesn't even treat the url as text so it acts like it's TRYING to display something but is failing. It shows the object size of the player, but doesn't actually include the player in the post content. This is the same with flickr as well. Youtube seems to work. Any ideas?

I'm Hoping to get it to use the same page layout as your gallery plugin uses. also the right sidebar is underneath the forum content.

    thanks for any help :)

  15. Hello Brajesh...

When you have a forum that is a category, with subforums, shouldn't the number of topics show the total of the number of topics that are in the subforums? Or they could also show no numbers at all? If not these counters will stay stuck at 0 right?

    Posted 1 year ago #
  16. Also, when you go into those categories, it says sorry, no post found...that should not be so, it should either show all the discussions under that category or nothing?

    Thanks for all your work!

  17. @shane,
Thanks, I will do it today.

    @revonorway
The category forum is like that by design. You can show the topics/posts count if you want.
    here is how to
    http://buddydev.com/forums/topic/request-for-category-forums#post-3437

The forum page shows topics in current forum not the sub forum(child forum), so It won't list any topic for the category forum.

Please let me know if you have suggestions to improve it .

  18. Hey Brajesh, thanks for the response...why is it like that by design?

Wouldn't it be normal that a "category" forum should display nothing or the total amount of posts under that "category"?
On your own forum, the "members only forum" shows no count...

I understand that the category forum does not show the topics of the sub-forum. Maybe an improvement would be that it doesn't display any "error" (sorry no post found) message...that just confuses the users :-)

    Thanks again for your work!

  19. Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply. You are right, It was earlier mentioned too, from our next update, It will show exactly as category forums behave in bbpress.

    Thanks
