  1. Hello, i was just wondering if anyone ran into this and knew how to clear it?

    I was testing the notification plugins out (live notication, activity commenter) and I may have deleted the actual reply or something before checking the notification because now I have a notification stuck in my admin bar. see attached. it will not go away, and also it doesnt even have a members name or anything, its just empty.

    I turned off all plugins and still cant get it to go away,.

    does anyone know what i can do to clear this?

    see it in this screenshot

  2. You can clear stubborn notifications in the database. There is a table for them, I'm not able to look it up now, but if you can't find it let me know and I'll track it down. I do think it is called notifications.

    I occassionally get them (though I don't know why), and when I do, I just go in and delete all the rows in the database table. If you wanted to be precise, you could go the extra length and determine the ID numbers of the users involved in the specific notification that is hanging and then delete just that one row. I never have time to do that, so just take the sledgehammer to the whole thing and clear out all the pending notifications for everyone.

    It happened a couple times early on when I was doing a lot of plugin testing, but I haven't had the problem in about 2 months now, so I'm thinking it was a plugin conflict.

  3. @Shane,
    It seems to me that the user who commented got deleted perhaps. Looks like a bug in the notification plugin. Can you please tell me how to reproduce it, I can fix it then.

    @Saunt
    You are right, the table is dbprefix(usually wp)_bp_notifications.

    Btw, I am considering adding an option to clear all notifications, that should solve it in future.

  4. Thanks you guys. I found the table and deleted it.

    @brajesh - I couldnt reproduce the problem. Ive been trying and just no luck.

    fyi: It wasnt due to deleting the member though because when it occurred, it was just me.. I was logged in as myself and also as a test member.. and i havent deleted the test member yet. but I was leaving lots of test replies.. and then deleting them...
