Request: Birthday email

1. I'd like to have a plugin that automatically emailed a member on their birthday, to wish them happy birthday. And before someone tells me to use TDLC, I don't believe it sends email and it doesn't even work for me (can't move the widget anywhere).

2. How are you using the b'day field, using xprofile or some plugin? please let me know. we can have this option, but need to know about that.

3. It's in xprofile. I just created datebox type field titled Birthday

   Brajesh, I know you are really busy lately. So please don't go out of your way for this unless other's are interested as well.

6. I have the TDLC Birthday on my site and it worked perfectly yesterday, as my wife's birthday was yesterday. It even showed on the widget "Happy Birthday to Nicole!" and linked to the profile. Are you sure you configured the widget per the instructions? I know it doesn't send an email but it seems like a pretty neat plugin.

   ALTHOUGH, I do think a birthday plugin that not only shows the bday but also sends an email would be neat, but the widget does work for me now.

   Unfortunately I followed the install instructions to the letter. It seemed to install fine. The problem was I can't grab the widget and move it anywhere. Everytime I try to grab it, text starts showing up in the empty space to the right of the listed widgets. The widget will not move (I can not grab it).

   I even deactivated it, removed it and reinstalled it a second time. According to the instructions I read you only need to create a datebox type field called Birthday (prior to installing the plugin). Install the plugin and go.

   Interesting, yesterday was your wife's birthday! It was mine also (May 4, 1956). That's what brought this all about. I got several emails from sites wishing me happy birthday and it put a smile on my face. That's why I requested the birthday email plugin.
