    I have changed the phrase by updating my buddypress-en_US.po file. The old file did not have that phrase.

    Only question that remains now is how to shorten the url of the member type directories to my-site.com/membertype

    Can you tell me where can I change ‘Viewing members of the type’ to ‘Viewing profiles of the type’? I was looking for the phrase in po files for the translation but couldn’t locate it.

    And can the url be changed from “/members/type/teachers/” to “/members/teachers/” or even better “/teachers/”?

    Hello Brajesh!

    It is flawless! The only issue is, it inserts ‘singular’ label. Can I get plural? I tried by changing ‘singular_name’ to ‘plural_name’ but that did not work.

    Hello @sbrajesh can you please help me with the code now? I want to hide certain member type(s) from member directory and searches performed by bp profile search plugin. There profiles should be accessible but invisible in listings and searches.

    So, I will try and find a developer to do this work, if you can recommend someplace to go, please do.

    Also, I am not sure but what if I upload the photos via ftp (bp album has individual folders for each user) and somehow mimic the database entries to display the images in MediaPress created user galleries. I am not sure what I am saying is even possible but just trying to think of a way to do it.

    Hello Brajesh!

    1 – I tried the above code, it did not work for me. I then used a plugin to show the Member Type field instead. It’s showing the actual ‘member type slug’ which is in small letters. For example it can show ‘student’ and not ‘Student’.

    2 -I am waiting for the code to exclude certain member types from directory, searches and searches by ‘bp profile search plugin’.

    3 – I am learning things using the ‘Member Type Generator plugin’ and I have learned that <b>I need some Member Types to be only assigned manually by the admin. If I give the users the option to choose the member types on registration, how do I exclude some member types from that drop down list?
