Thank you for using the plugin. This page will guide you on what are the conditions where building relationships among the users may fail.

Failing Conditions:

Currently, there is only one case i.e. On registration or user created by the admin using the “Add New User” screen. Those members from the conditional lists will fail which use profile fields in their conditions. The reason for this is the inaccessibility of profile data on registration. BuddyPress save user profile data on account activation. So, it is recommended to use activation action over user registration action. You can check under Plugin General Settings > Auto Friendship on setting.
