Hi Brajesh!
I just saw this plugin and had to sign up again to play with it!
Finally a working privacy plugin for BP. Yay!
Eric & Greg have made some great suggestions above too. +1 from me 🙂
Oops… one more thing. I’m using the latest version from github (per your June 19 post above) but the visual editor is not working on my install. Any ideas one this one too? PS – I just read this thread again and saw that you are still working on posting to the activity stream. So […]
@sbrajesh Hi Brajesh! I’m finally getting things pretty much the way I want them on my new site but I still have a few hurdles to cross. I’ve got Blog Categories for Groups working well but still need to figure out 2 things: 1 – Group blog posts are not being posted to the activity stream. […]
@sbrajesh There’s a hiccup on bpdemos.com: I tested on bpdemos and, immediately after clicking the “Allow” button in the FB connect wizard, was presented with a WSOD and the following message, along with a few “headers already sent” errors. Warning: stripslashes() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in…[Read more]

Goody, goody! I’ve been busy building a new theme framework but, as soon as I get that done, I’m going to have a lot of fun with gallery!
BTW, shouldn’t it be about time we all chip in and renew our BuddyDev memberships?
Just read the post and comments. Damn! My mouth is watering and my fingers are poised!
But please Brajesh, don’t forget to sleep!Patrick commented on the blog post Blog Categories for Groups Plugin %s

Hi Brajesh,
Hust saw your reply today. So, V2 might include category creation per group creation?
Cool! Looking forward to it.Patrick commented on the blog post Blog Categories for Groups Plugin %s
Oops, forgot to mention a most important part of step 1 above:
Superadmin could hide main blog from navigation, either making it a private page, exclude pages plugin, hardcoding the template, whatever. That way, the ONLY way users could contribute would be by joining a group.

@Brajesh
Lemme see if I understand how this works:
1 – Superadmin sets blog role for all site members and creates categories for main blog
2 – Group creator can then assign categories to new group to create virtual group blog
3 – Group members then post their entries to those…Patrick commented on the blog post Introducing Global sitewide forums plugin for Buddypress %s

Me again… with more little bugs.
1 – The “Manage Users” screen doesn’t seem to function. Any search I perform using either my name or my username returns a “No users found” message.
2 – On the “Right Now” screen of the admin section, I’m informed…Patrick commented on the blog post Introducing Global sitewide forums plugin for Buddypress %s

Absofreakinlutely fantastic plugin, my friend… thank you very much for this!
A few little bugs here and there:
1 – Files create-forum.php, delete-forum.php and edit-forum.php all had an empty <?php tag at the end which created errors. Delete them…Patrick commented on the blog post Introducing Global sitewide forums plugin for Buddypress %s

Sorry for not replying for a while, I got a bit sidetracked by my Dad’s declining health.
Thanks for the above, it worked fine. But I now have issues with updates appearing twice in the activity stream (on both profile and home pages).
Any ideas?Patrick Cohen commented on the blog post Using activity as wire in Buddypress 1.2 themes %s
Great tutorial Brajesh!
I need to adjust 2 things though:
1 – How to prevent this type of update from being added to the Activity Stream? I’m thinking users will likely tend to think of this feature as a “semi-private” means of communication.
2 – How to hide…Patrick Cohen commented on the blog post Creating a Buddypress/Wordpress Username availability checker for your site %s

I should go away more often

I took a look at your css tweaks on wpknight. I love how you got the profile header sitting pretty on the left, with everything else snug at the top. Could you clue us in on how you accomplished that?- Load More
