I am using the Restrict Domain Plugin with the Ultimate Member plugin (it was listed as being compatible). However, after properly entering the email addresses under settings it is now restricting registration to those emails. Notes: does this require Ultimate Member Pro? the emails are in this format: diane.conrad@somedomain.com

    Hi Diane,
    Welcome to BuddyDev forums.

I am sorry but I am unable to understand the issue. Is this plugin not restricting users registration while using ultimate member?

No, you do not need Ultimate Member pro for this.

Please let me know and I will assist.

    Thank you

Correct – it is not restricting user registration for ultimate member. Should have written: However, after properly entering the email addresses under settings it is NOT restricting registration to those emails.

Thank you for the prompt reply. Which version of Ultimate Member are you using? I can check it quickly.

Thank you. Please allow me an hour to test it. The plugin is not tested with 2.x as far as I remember. I will update the plugin if needed.

    Thank you

    Hi Diane,
    Thank you.

I have tested it now and it is working as expected.

It seems the confusion is based on what it does:- Here is what it does.

It restricts registration from all address(extension, domain or email) except what you add in the settings.

For example, if you add “gmail.com” in the settings, it will allow registration from gmail.com but restrict from all other address. For example, abc@example.com won’t be able to register.

    Can you please check that?

PS:- You can use either the complete email to allow or the email domain name or extension(one entry per line).

    Regards
    Brajesh

I put in a list of emails that I wanted to be allowed to register. Anybody else I want to block. I entered one address per line without commas using lowercase letters.

    Hi Diane,
That is the right way to do it.

How many emails have you entered? If there are too many, I will suggest using adding domain instead for better performance.

If the above is not working, is there any chance that the number of entries are greater than 1000 ?

    Regards
    Brajesh
