I’ve seen this issue in another post (https://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/buddypress-xprofile-custom-field-types-custom-taxonomy-multiselector-issue/) regarding the plugin BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Type in that the output is HTML (
- XX
) – here are the screen shots from that post just for reference …
– Backend: https://snag.gy/SyD6I9.jpg
– Frontend (BuddyPress profile): https://snag.gy/uv4HGF.jpgMy issue is that i’d like to just output the raw data then surround it with my own mark-up? Is there anyway to do this?

Hi Richard,
Welcome to BuddyDev.1. You can disable the html by Disabling “Auto link” on the profile field edit page
2. For custom, Please use$values = maybe_unserialize( BP_XProfile_ProfileData::get_value_byid( $field_id, $user_id ) );And modify it as you please.
