    Is it possible to get a notification if someone I follow posts a new regular wordpress blog post?
    similar idea to the notification if someone comments on my blog post – plugin: BuddyPress Notify Post Author on Blog Comment

    Thank you for the question.

    At the moment, I am not aware of any plugin that support this behaviour(assuming you are referring to BuddyPress Follow).

    I can certainly be achieved but it will need custom coding/development.

    What features does the ‘BuddyPress Follow’ add. Meaning if I follow someone what am I notified/updated about that user?

    Hi,
    When you follow a user you can see their updates under an activity tab. That’s all it does.
