Hi!
I am trying to create an Activity Stream that only includes the user’s friends’ activity and the activity of any group the user is part of. I don’t want the other tabs available/showing. Can you please advise?
Also, I am confused regarding the plugin’s application. Does it also pertain to the /activity page in addition to the /member/name/activity page? I’m trying to remove the ability for members to see all members’ activities on any page and just be able to see their friends’ and groups’ activities.
Thanks!
Cindy
Hi Cindy,
Welcome to BuddyDev forums.
Thank you for the purchase.I am trying to create an Activity Stream that only includes the user’s friends’ activity and the activity of any group the user is part of. I don’t want the other tabs available/showing. Can you please advise?
This plugin does exactly that but it does not remove other tabs. Do you want to emove all tabs from profile activity page?
If you do that a user won’t be able to visit other user’s activity page on their profile(Your stream is only visible to you if you remove all other tabs).
Does it also pertain to the /activity ?
If you want, you can make that page as the stream which shows activity from friends/groups only and not from whole site. It is available as a setting in the plugin.
Please let me know if you want to remove profile activity sub tabs, I can assist with that.

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
Thanks so much for the quick response! I definitely do not want members to view activity from the whole site – just their friends and groups they are members of. I would like it to show these on the /activity page. You said, “If you want, you can make that page as the stream which shows activity from friends/groups only and not from whole site. It is available as a setting in the plugin.” That is what I’d like for the home page of the site once a member signs in, the same as Facebook.
I might be confused on removing profile activity sub tabs – can you please describe which ones those are?
In general, what is the purpose supposed to be of the /activity page versus the /member/name/activity page?
Thanks,
Cindy
Hi Cindy,
Thank you.1. The /activity is used as the sitewide directory of activity listing from all members/groups etc. It is like a global directory where all activities on the site are shown.
2. members/membername/activity :- This is used to show the activities of the user we are viewing.
I believe setting the sitewide activity to as as the network stream suits your use.

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
Thank you again!
I completely agree with your statement “I believe setting the sitewide activity to as as the network stream suits your use.” How do I accomplish this?
Best,
Cindy
Hi Cindy,
Thank you. Please visit Dashboard->Settings->Facebook Like activity stream. You will see the options to enable/disable it.

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
When I have it enabled for both activity pages, they have the exact same information on them. Is that how it should work?
Thanks!
Cindy
Hi Cindy,
if you enable both, It will duplicate the same thing on profile and directory. My suggestion is to only enable it on directory or profile. We have 2 options to let site admins select where they want the stream to be.

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
Thank you again for the amazing support!
