How can I assign a custom post type as a reply for another post type

    I’m trying to create a forum without bbpress and I have created a custom post type on my theme called thread and I want to create another post type called reply and I want the reply to be assigned to the thread like bbpress topic and reply

    Please I need your assistance

    Thank you for the question.

    My suggestion will be to look into bbPress code. bbPress does it pretty well and you may want to check that and use as you please.

    I will personally avoid duplication of efforts.
