Member Types Pro : disable cover and activity for some members ?

    Hello, is it possible with the “Members Types Pro” plugin to disable cover photos and activity feed for a particular type of member?

    Hi Julia,
    THank you for using the plugin.

    1. Currently the plugin does not disable any functionality. We can add the option to disable “Cover Photos” based on member type. We can also add the options to disable posting to activity or commenting on activity but we will not be able to disable activity stream. If we disable activity stream component for some users and leave that for others, It will cause more problem than it solves.

    Let me know if the above restrictions will help? We can add it then.

    I created a website that connects particulars and companies and I don’t want particulars to have a profile as rich as companies. Disabling the cover photos and posting activity would be very helpful. Maybe you can also insert member type name as css class in the profile page?

    We will release an update within a week.

    Also, BuddyPress already adds the class for member type to body element. It is

    
member-type-{member-type-name}

    For example, if ‘student’ is member type, It is

    
member-type-student
