[Resolved] Editable Activity : Line Break

    Hello,

    When we edit activities the line breaks are vanishing.
    First

    Second

    Third

    Becomes after first edit:
    First
    Second
    Third

    And then:
    FirstSecondThird

    How can we resolve this?

    Hi,

    Welcome to BuddyDev forums.

    This is a bug in BuddyPress itself and not in the editable activity. We have seen it earlier. Please try adding an activity post directly with the same line break and you will have the same results.

    At the moment, I am not seeing any proper solution for this. Sorry about that. If we remove the filtering stripping new lines, It will have effect on other conditions too.

    Please let me know if it is very important and I will be able to provide a way for removing filters from BuddyPress.

    I don’t know if that is the case…
    The edit-post has two textfields: One for the edit and one is hidden with the buddypresscode of that post.
    That post looks right. But when saving the edited post, the line breaks are vanishing.
    It ist a problem, because even embeddeds (the URLs will merge with the next line) will not work, and the whole UX is off – nobody is happy.
    Can i change the filters of buddypress?

    Hi,
    Can you please tell em which template pack you are using and I will share the code accordingly.

    The way edit profile works(hidden field) has no effect on it.
