Hello,
I am thinking about purchasing this plugin. I have a redirect plugin already on my site: LoginWP (Formerly Peter’s Login Redirect). Does your plugin work JUST FOR REGISTRATIONS??
I have redirects set up by role (admin, member, news, other) to redirect to either the user’s dashboard, or a NEWS page on the site that is customized for the user. It also has a setting, which helps, if the user is accessing the site from a link in an email or from another external site. It forces them to login but also remembers the link that they were trying to access (like a specific post). After logging in, they are redirected to the liRnk they clicked. This is the setting: Allow a POST or GET “redirect_to” variable to take redirect precedence.
I would really LOVE to be able to bypass the activation code email message and allow the new user to just be logged in after registering.
I would also LOVE to be able to redirect based on something besides ROLE. Maybe based upon something the user selects on the login screen (like “I’m currently on my: phone, tablet, laptop”).
I had to create a NEW ROLE named NEWS just so I could redirect users at login to the NEWS page instead of their dashboard. They can select this by changing their PROFILE TYPE in BuddyBoss. Unfortunately, this means that they cannot be assigned to more than one role. They cannot be a member and an author, for example. Very frustrating.
I would like users to be able to select from a list of pages to appear as their “logged into page”.
I don’t know how your plugin would work. I’m assuming that my current redirect plugin and yours cannot be on the site at the same time. The current plugin is doing mostly what I want, but the new account process is too long and difficult for some new users.
Thank you for your feedback. The NoN Universe Administrator
I am now using your plugin. It works well for auto activating and auto login.
Thanks for the plugin,
Dianne
