Hi, I’m trying to find a shortcode that would allow me to link to any member profile – ex. Create an article: [link] then it takes them to their specific profile page.
Is that possible?
I know it should be something like this: http://example.com/members/membername/post_tab_slug/view/id. but how would I use it for each member?
Hi Audra,
Thank you for the question. There are no shortcodes but an easy way around.
if you have your members directory at http://example.com/members/, you can use http://example.com/members/me to link to the current logged user’s profile.
for example, to link to http://example.com/members/membername/post_tab_slug/view/id for the logged user, you will use http://example.com/members/me/post_tab_slug/view/id.
All we need to do is substitute the member’s username/nicename slug with “me” in the url.
Will that work for you?
Regards
BrajesThanks Brajes for the quick reply.
Yes, that worked pretty close. I have: https://mywebsite.com/members/me/article/
And that took me to my ‘specific’ page.
