I can’t seem to be able to get the badges shortcode to work. I am not trying to do anything fancy, just created a page with just one shortcode to list members under a specific custom badge. I simply inserted [bp-user-badges slug=”lifetime”] into the shortcode block.

Are there any known conflicts with other plugins?

Also, as a suggestion, the only place I found any documentation on shortcodes was in the plugin description, not in the plugin documentation. Can you add that info to the documentation.

    Hi,
    Welcome to BuddyDev support forums.

Can you please confirm that the quotes being used are correct for the slug? Can you please try copying and pasting the following as shortcode and see if it works or not?

     [bp-user-badges slug='lifetime']

I don’t see any plugin causing conflict. We are using BP_User_Query and most of the plugins will avoid filtering on it as it is used at so many places in BuddyPress.

Please let me know your findings.

    Thank you
    Brajesh

Argh, such a basic thing. My apologies for not catching that. It now does work, however the listings (https://gmeta.org/lifetime-members) do not follow same format as as standard Buddy Boss member listings: https://gmeta.org/members/

    Regards,

    Mendy

This is the listing of all members with Lifetime Badge: https://gmeta.org/lifetime-members
This is how any member listing should look: https://gmeta.org/members/

    Thanks,

    Mendy

    Hi Mendy,
    Thank you.

The reason is we are using a custom template which is based on BuddyBoss theme 1.x where it has a slightly different look.

We will be updating the plugin to use BuddyBoxx 2.x layout in our next release. For the time being this is the available layout. You can overwrite in your child theme if you wnat by putting the default.php template in buddypress/buddypress-user-badges/

    Hi Mendy,
    Hope you are doing well.

We have updated the plugin and release BuddyPress User Badges v 1.2.5. It will use the new BuddyPoss template experience out of the box.

    Please update.

    Regards
    Brajesh

Thank you. Definitely an improvement but still does not use the BuddyBoss settings for the profile. Hopefully in future the two plugins will have better correlation.
