Hello I love this plugin so far but cannot get the custom fields to work how I would like. I want my users to have a text field to submit a small description to their post and upload a video separately in another field. Then have them display as if they where uploaded from the “Post Content” field. I dont want to use the standard field cause I think it will be confusing for my users.
I checked under custom fields field types but nothing lets the user upload a video and have it play when viewing. It only shows a link to the video, then plays in a new window when clicked.
Is there a plugin or step by step direction I can follow to set this up?
I can use the standard post content diolag box without the Tinymce editor and that fixes the description part but I cannot get a video upload button going so that the video plays in the post and isn’t just a text link to another page.
Hi Joe,
Welcome to BuddyDev support forums.Thank you for using our plugins!
Do you want to use any specific player with the video or just the normal default video player with WordPress will work?
Please let me know, we will quickly add the support.

BrajeshYes standard player is fine. I’m also using rtmedia plugin for transcoding.

BrajeshThat’s great I can’t wait. I’m launching a new project and this is the last thing I need to get running. Is there a way I can get a notification when it’s been uploaded so I can update it?

I am expecting the release sometimes today(PST).If you are using BuddyDev dashboard plugin, you will see the update available notice in your dashboard(Just like other WordPress plugins).

BrajeshI have just pushed the release of 1.3.7.
Please check in your dashboard again in couple of minutes. Also, please use the “Video Upload” field type for the video after upgrading to 1.3.7
PS:- do you have BuddyDev dashboard plugin active and configured? If not, you will need to manually download and update the plugin.
