I am having issues with comments on posts created with BuddyBlog Pro. My Buddyboss site allows me to post using BuddyBlog Pro, and comments entered on the activity feed work fine. However, if I open the post, new comment attempts do not work. After hitting the publish button on a comment, a blank error window pops up. Maybe this is related, but I am sorry that I don’t know enough to understand… Comments on BuddyBlog Group type posts also cause issues. On those. I can add comments in the feed as well, however they don’t display when published. All I see is the name of the commenter but not the text. If I then open the group post, those comments display properly. However, on that group post page, I am unable to add new comments and get the same blank pop up error above. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello Aaron,

Sorry for the inconvenience. I am unable to get your issue clearly. Are you facing issue while posting comments on post created using our plugins or facing issue while posting comments on activity those generated after post or comment publishing. It will be helpful if you can share a short video or screenshots of the issue.

    Regards
    Ravi

Thanks Ravi. Here is a video which shows the commenting problem in BB Pro: https://screenrec.com/share/j6T3KJfD8x
Here is the link for the commenting issue with the Group type. I really appreciate your help. These are critical features which are required for our site.

    Hello Aaron,

I have checked the video shared by you. As per the video, The screen where the issue is occurring is controlled by the theme in your case it is BuddyBoss so it is not an issue with the plugin. However, I have checked this issue on my local development setup of BuddyBoss to see whether it is a theme issue and I found that one javascript error is occurring. You can see that in the browser developer tool window under the console tab. You can see this in the following screenshot:

So it will be beneficial if you contact the BuddyBoss theme author for the same issue.

PS: My BuddyBoss theme version is ‘2.5.60’

    Regards
    Ravi
