Profanity Filter – whitelist variations of blacklisted words

Hi, we are using the profanity filter to block the following words: work, worker, working.

The problem is, that there are some plugin shortcodes that use the word “worker” … but, they always have a special character beside the word, e.g. a () or underscore or hyphen _worker or (worker … etc

So I was trying to figure out how I can blacklist the individual words, but whitelist the others with special characters.

    Hi Shaun,
    Thank you for teh question.

I will suggest disabling the option “Strict filtering”.

If you disable it, the profile filter will only match words ad not partial string.

Please let me know if that works for you
