Hello again
There is still a lot of issues with the rtMedia and Anonymous plugin.
The issue I’m still having with this is that people who wish to upload images as anonymous to a post is not being protected as anonymous. Their user-profile still adds the image into the media gallery and this is now visible to every member on the site.Isn’t it possible to make it so you can’t post as anonymous if an image is uploaded into the post?
This is a really important feature since it’s not working as it should.
Thank you 🙂
Also when someone marked as anonymous uploads an image it’s shown twice.
I decided to give your MediaPress plugin a try and I must say I like it so far.
It does have a few features that I like better than the rtMedia – also seems to be looking better in general (design within my theme). Look more professional..I’m still having the issue with the Anonymous plugin and image upload – people are still able to see who uploaded the image (if they uploaded as anonymous). Can this be fixed so that your two plugin are compatible with each other?
Would LOVE this – Thanks!
Hi Katrine,
Thank you for trying MediaPress. The problem with upload is it needs to be associated with a user. Irrespective of the plugin, the uploads belong to some person and the current implementation of the plugins(RT Media or MediaPress) does not allow showing it without that user references.
This is going to be huge issue with user experience to enable/disable anonymous activity for media(as it is currently implemented). I will need a few days before sharing the status about achieving it.

BrajeshWould it be possible to remove the option (using PHP snippet) – so when a member checks the box “create post as anonymous” it would remove the “attachment” option. So it’s not possible at all to upload media when that checkbox is checked? 🙂
Hi Katrine,
Thank you for the reply. In order to make that dynamic, we will need to inject additional js. Dealing with BP Nouveau’s ui is a huge nuisance in js. I will rather be going with the on attachment selected, disable the anonymous options and re-enable ti approach.
Regards
BrajeshI don’t mind if it is one or the other, just as long as yoiu’re not really able to upload images when “anonymous” posting is enabled. How would this be implemented – I’m sure other users would find it very useful indeed. 🙂
@sbrajesh – any updates on this?
Also I’m currently using the BuddyPress Legacy template pack and not the Nouveau template pack.
This is due to my theme not being compatible with the Nouveau template. 🙂
