A More Challenging Redirect

    Hi Brajesh,

    I’ve been able to adapt the redirect code you gave me for all my BuddyPress needs, except for one more challenging thing I want to do now – indeed, I don’t even know if what I am attempting is actually possible.

    Essentially – in the case of items that don’t originate in the activity stream (e.g. blog posts and comments) – I want to redirect the single activity page to the original post. Is it possible to do this, and if so, how?

    I am sorry for the delayed reply.

    The forum/blog activities should redirect to the relevant forum/blog post automatically. Are you doing anything special. It is not difficult to write the code but It is important to know why you need to do it here.

    Hi Brajesh,

    I gave blog posts as an example of what I’m talking about, but I actually need this functionality for third party plug-ins. For now I’ve worked around this by adding them to the list of types that BuddyPress redirects to the primary link, but I had to hack into core to do this. So it would be nice if I could use a redirect in bp-custom.php instead.
