I’m not seeing activity updates when users are creating galleries and only seeing media uploads when the upload from the activity wall. I have both check boxes checked in the Automatically Publish to activity When? settings. Should it work when a new gallery is created through the users gallery page?
Hi Keith,
Yes, It should create the activity item for the new gallery. Only case where we don’t do it is for new wall galleries(automatic creation).Which version of BuddyPress/mediaPress are you using?

BrajeshHi Keith,
which version of MediaPress are you using?Okay so I can see the uploaded media and gallery created on my own activity feed but I can’t see it on site-wide activity or on someone else’s activity feed. So if User A creates a gallery it will show up on their own activity feed, but User B is unable to see that activity. So user B doesn’t know that User A has created a gallery or uploaded media. Seems very strange. I created a test account on my site and verified that the activities are showing on their activity tab on the profile page. Then logged in as another user and visited the profile and no activity was showing.
Hi Keith,
The activity item privacy depends on gallery privacy. If you create a public gallery, the activity for it should be visible to everyone otherwise only the owner of the gallery can see it.
If it is happening for public gallery, is there a chance that you are using any code/plugin to filter sitewide activity?

BrajeshHi Keith,
BuddyPress Activities can have only 2 privacy either visible to all or only visible to the poster(It may change if the Core developers decide to add ebtetr privacy in future). For MediaPress, if an item is accessible to all(including non logged), Its activity is set public otherwise it is set as private.
What you are seeing is the correct listing for a logged in users only gallery.

Brajesh
