- Hello Brajesh ! I found this post : https://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/disable-buddypress-join-group-and-add-friend-based-on-users-role-2/
I wish to adapt it by custom user role. For example : I have 4 custom user roles. For one of them, I wish to hide the button Join this group. This user role can only see members of publics or private groups and only to invite members to his own group.- Thanks a lot for your reply !
- Hi CDS,
 Welcome back.
It seems you have marked the topic resolved.- Do you still need assistance with it ? - Regards

- Hello, I would like only users with certain roles to be able to join public groups.
(I need the logged-in users to be able to see the content of the public groups, but I don’t want anyone to be a member. Unfortunately anyone can click the “join group” and be instantly a member.
Do you know if there is a plugin to do that ? I don’t know PHP.
May I post here the URL of an exemple group, so that you can figure out the situation ?
It is not a commercial site, it is for a very good cause 🙂
 Thanks !
- Yes I would like to find a solution, because there are already people joing my public group (which I don’t want), that you can see here : https://autistance.org/groups/org-aut-allianceautiste-orgintl-onu-cdph-rapport-2020/ - I tried to use the plugin “Limit members per group”, which can be a temporary trick, but it simply does not work on my site… I tried many settings and it’s always possible to join the (public) groups instantly (I never saw the message about group reaching max capacity)…. - I hope you can help…. I bought the plugin BP User Badges, which is nice…

- Hello, I would like to know if you have replied. Maybe it is not visible here because it’s marked as private ? I love you plugins and I hope you can make this one working (“limit members per group” (public group)). Thanks.
- P.S. When I click on the button “support” for the subscription for support for this plugin (that I bought), it brings me bak here…
- Hi Eric,
I am sorry, I had replied as a private as your earlier reply was privae.- Now I can see that you are not able to view my reply as only original topic creator can see private replies. - 1. Please open a new topic from here - https://buddydev.com/support/forums/ - and for the limit members per group, Please let me know which template pack/theme are you using. Since we plan to maintain it, we will push a fix soon. - Thank you
