Hi! I am using the Plugin “BuddyPress Profile Visibility Manager”. Unfortunatly if a user chooses not to bei visible in the main Directory this not applies to Groups. So still the user is listed in the Groups he is in. Is there an Option to let him choose this? Or is there an snippet doing this, depending on his choice with the main directory? Thanks!
I just saw that there is a snippet provided to solve the problem. But it would be nice to have a checkbox in the above plugin that does the privacy in Groups individually as users chooses! And even would be great, as an administrator, to choose wich individual group is forced to non privacy. And third it would be very good to give access to the plugin options for user by userrole. So for example customers have no access to choose an subscribers have access to choose. …
Hi,
Thank you for bringing it.Please allow us 2 working days to provide this option with a fallback to current settings for directory. We will release an update by day end Monday to allow users choose if they want to be visible on groups directory or not. We will be making it a simple option for now.

BrajeshHi,
Thank you for the patience. Please upgrade to 1.9.0.
The directory visibility preference is now honoured in the groups.

BrajeshThank You! But would be nice to let user choose more granular, whther they want their profile to be hidden in members directory, in public groups, in private groups and in hidden Groups. And also let the admin set default values for that! Would be great if You develop further!
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. The current plugin does not have a graceful way of handling it for individual members due to the way we are excluding users. We do plan to explore the feasibility of providing user’s option instead of applying the global behaviour.
I will mark the topic resolved and add it to our future miletone.
Regards
Brajesh
