    I investigated a bit further.
    This time I set “Allow post author to enable/disable comment?” and “Enable Taxonomy?” to yes.
    Then I added the bp-custom plugin to auto-assign a category.

    Now it works as expected.

    A few suggestions/feature requests:
    1. change “Allow post author to enable/disable comment?” to “Comment options” with the following options: enable comments/disable comments/allow post author to enable/disable comments
    2. Integrate your auto-assign category script in the plugin.

    Hi Hugo,
    Thank you for the update.

    I am glad it is working now.

    We will have a complete rewrite of this plugin as well as BuddyBlog and that should make things better.
