    Hi,

The Plugin: BP Deactivate Account New updated Version has caused HTTP 500 Error when trying to access backend the WP Dashboard. The host had to deactivate the Plugin and now I can access the WP Dashboard again.

This is the Error that our Host company has sent us:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Press_Themes\PT_Settings\Ajax_Handler’ not found in /home/ourwebsite/ourwebsite.com/wp-content/plugins/bp-deactivate-account/admin/pt-settings/pt-settings-loader.php:124

Could you please have a look at it and maybe provide a solution?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
My apologies for the inconvenience. We recently had a major change in our settings framework and It started causing problem if older version of the framework was installed.

Going forward, we have made sure that in future it will never happen but all existing plugins need to be updated.

If you are using any of the following plugin

    BuddyPess User Contact Form
    BuddyPress Moderation Tools
    BuddyPress Member Types pro
    Social Subscribe Box
    BP Branded Login
    BuddyPress User Circles

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of each of these.

It won’t happen in future as all the above plugins now implements a mechanism to only allow the latest version of settings framework to be loaded.

Please upgrade and let me know if you see any issue.

PS:- If a plugin causes fatal in future, you can disable it by renaming it to get the site back. It is present in the wp-content/plugins directory on your server.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I have basically checked if I didn’t update one of the plugins you are mentioning in the list, but we are using only BP Moderation Tools, BP Member Types pro, and BP User Contact Form which are updated with the latest version.

The other mentioned plugins from your list we do not use and are not installed.

How come then the BP Deactivate Account plugin has caused Fatal Error?

The BP Deactivate Account plugin is at the moment deactivated and not in use, but I would like to reactivate it again as it is a nice tool for our website.

How can I do that now in order that it does not cause again Fatal Error ?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Brajesh,

I have forgotten to ask if I could update the Media Press Plugins as:

    MediaPress 1.4.1
    Media Press Featured Content 1.0.2
    Media Press Media Rating 1.0.7

and if they work well with BuddyPress Nouveau or if it is better to wait until adjustment will be done ?

    Thank you for your input.

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
    1. Please delete BP Deactivate Account plugin and download fresh copy from the site and upload it.

The plugin caused issue as it contains the old style include for our settings framework(with an older version of the settings framework).

We have changed the way included the settings framework to avoid it happening again in future. In future, only the latest version will be loaded.

    2. Yes, They are compatible. MediaPress Directory won’t work properly with the BP Nouveau though. I am working on a solution for it.

    Regards
    Brajesh
