[Resolved] Buddypress Activity plus post limit

    Greetings buddydev

    I installed buddypress with the ” activity plus ” plugin onto my website.
    It was fun to see people posting until the spam started. Images and links
    for commercial ads, and porn. Also there are people who post 20 to 50 times
    in less than an hour. — I had to turn off buddypress.

    Is there a way to theme functions code a posting limit on activity plus so posting
    could be limited to 5 or 7 posts in 24 hours ?

    I am sorry for the experience!

    We do have an activity rate limiting plugin but I am not sure if that would work with activity plus or not. Please allow us to test and get back to you tomorrow.

    Hi,
    We looked into it(@ravisharma did). At the moment, our activity rate limiter is not compatible with the Activity Plus.

    It will need around a week before we can work on compatibility between these 2.

    I used some code from a wordpress post comments limiter and tryed
    to modify it. When I put it in theme functions I crashed the site 3 times
    and gave up. I’m looking forward to what you can do that’ll work.
