    Hello,

The BuddyPress Auto Activate Auto Login is not keeping the newly registered users logged in automatically. The registration process is successful but the users are not logged in.

    Thanks

    Hi Tosin,
Thank you for reporting. I have tested it and I am unable to reproduce it.

It could be a conflict with one of your plugins/themes or custom code.

Please share the list of active plugin and theme.

    Thank you
    Brajesh

    Hi Tosin,
The problem seems to EasyWP Cache by Namecheap. It is enabled by default and my guess is this is the culprit.

We host a lot of sites on nginx and we haven’t found anything that suggest nginx as the issue. to test, you can temporarily disable their cache by renaming wp-content/mu-plugins to something else temporarily.

    Regards
    Brajeh

    Hello,

I have disabled the mu-plugins but the problem persists but I noticed that there is another plugin in the drop-in section which I also deleted and that plugin links to https://wordpress.org/plugins/redis-cache/

The problem still persists after deleteing both mu-plugins and drop-in plugins

This is the code of the object-cache.php

I think pages are still being cached maybe they have server side caching

    Hi Tosin,
Please allow me to test it with the Redis cache today. I do not think it should have any effect but still need to test to confirm it.

    Regards

Was this ever resolved? I have the same problem, I also use EasyWP, disabled the mu-plugins file (by renaming it). The only plugins I’m using are the BuddyBoss Platform and this BuddyDev plugin.

(should this be its own thread?)

I’ve disabled the CDN since you mentioned problems with caching, above.

Every new test account allows me to create an account > it does skip sending the email > it does activate the account > but I have to log in immediately after creating the account (it does NOT auto-login).
(I’m using BuddyBoss’s registration, not going thru a third party).

I did not get a solution to this but I think the problem is related to Easy WP hosting because this problem started just after I migrated my site from siteground to Namecheap’s Easy WP
