    Hello,

We’ve noticed that a blocked user can still reply to person who has blocked them if there is an existing message thread between the users, and vice versa.
Is it possible for replies to not be possible within an existing message thread with a blocked user?
The BuddyPress Moderation Tools plugin manages this really well when a user tries to message someone who has been suspended through an existing message thread.

    Thanks.

    Hi Nifty,
Have you enabled the restrictions for messaging?

I am not seeing this bug. Can you please give me an example to test. It could be again related to your theme or some plugin being used.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,

We have the “Disable sending messages” option checked.

We’ve tested it on a clean BuddyPress install using the Legacy pack and have had the same issue. The user will also still get email notifications notifying them of replies within the existing thread.

You can test it on our staging site – we’ll post the details in a private reply.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ravi,

Thank you very much for that fix; it seems to be working well. 🙂
