Tagged: BP member types Pro, conditional profield
- I bought the buddy Press Member Types Pro and I would like to combine it with a conditional field logic in the registration form - Is there any way during the registration process, to show/hide fields depending of the member type selected in a previous field. - I mean combine the logic of Conditional Profile Fields with BP member types Pro, hiding/showing profile fields based on the selected member type in a field.
- Hi Irene,
Welcome to BuddyDev forums and thank you for purchasing the plugin./- You can still combine these two on registration pages. - 1. Please make sure the member type field is “Select” type as shown here - https://i.imgur.com/22X1TaZ.png - 2. Now, Edit the field which you want to show/hide based on member type and select the member type in condition as shown below - https://i.imgur.com/adayj5u.png - Once you select the member type field from the list, It will show you a text box. - Please visit User->member Types and note the values from this column - https://i.imgur.com/tgaQCsI.png - Add that value - 3. The field having condition will look like this - https://i.imgur.com/musyvgB.png - In the fields list. That’s all. - The conditions will work on the registration form now. - Regards
Brajesh- PS:- In future, we will make the selection of values automatic.
- But do I need both plug in: Conditional Profile Fields and BP member types Pro? according to the BP member types pro it’s said that
¨Conditional field: Control which fields are visible to users belonging to a given member type¨
So I understood that I could do it only with BPMTPro, am I worng?- On the other hand, when combining both I have an issue, it works in the registration form but in profile it does not show conditional data. Am I doing sth worng? do I need to do some special configuration?
- Please do let me know if you were able to update and got the issue reolved or not? - Regards
 Brajesh
- yes he issue is solved with the plugin update
 thanks!
