[Resolved] BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types issue

    I’ve just installed BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types. When I look at Users -> Profile Fields there is one field already defined “First Name” which is set to Primary and Required in the base group. Problem is, I can not set the visibility of that field:

    First Name (required)
    This field can be seen by: Everyone

    Last Name
    This field can be seen by: Everyone Change

    Why is this and how can I set it so that the visibility can be changed.

    Hi Steven,

    The First name field is provided by BuddyPress not our plugin.

    BuddyPress Does not allow changing it and you can not set the visibility of it. It is the way BuddyPress works.

    The field is used at various places by BuddyPress core to display user names, that’s why it does not allow changing visibility.
