Tagged: mark featured users
Hi Dave,
Welcome to BuddyDev.You can mark a user as featured from the members directory of your site or from user’s profile on the site.
Hope it helps.
Regards
BrajeshCannot see the Featured checkbox in any User Profiles, but I do see the Set Featured on the front end of the Member Directory page, when I’m logged in as an Admin.
This will work fine, but it is puzzling why it’s not showing in WordPress admin screens.
Hi George,
Welcome to BuddyDev.We haven’t added the featured option in the WordPress admin.
The button should be visible from user’s BuddyPress profile as well. Can you please check that?
Thank you
BrajeshI’ve set several members as Featured, from the buttons that show in the Member Directory. But, when I use the shortcode or the widget to display them, I get the “no members were found” message.
WP 4.9.9
BP 4.1.0Do you want me to start a different thread for this?
And yes, the Set Featured button does show on the user’s Profile page on the Front End of the site. It would be helpful if, in the documentation, you specify Front End, as most people will be thinking Back End user profile. It’s very handy having it on the front end, especially from a client usage point of view – we just need to know to look there 🙂
Hi George,
Thank you. I will update the docs. Marking this as resolved. Please open a new thread with your theme details and if you are using any plugin/code for excluding users.
It is clear that some plugin or code is modifying the users list(any chance PMPro BuddyPress addon?) Please mention it there.
Thank you
Brajesh
