Hi, Will Conditional Profile Fields for BuddyPress also hide the fields on the profile page?

    Thank you for your time

    Hi Kim,
    Thank you for the question.

Yes, It does hide fields on profile edit page.

Please do know that it does not support all field types.

    Regards

Hi, will it hide fields of members from one another. I’m trying to make two membership types. One can see only a few fields on other people’s profiles and the other membership type has no limits.

    Thank you

Thank you for answering but I think BuddyPress Profile Data Control will work better.

    Hi Kim,
    Thank you.
Yes, you are right. Profile Data control gives admin control over what is visible to which roles.

The conditional fields is for self(owner of the profile).

    Hi Kim,
    Thank you for the reply.

The Profile Data control plugin works with Roles. If you can create two roles and each user get assigned one of them(You can automate this using Member Types pro), then you can select the option

After that, Please visit Dashboard->Users->profile fields and edit the fields.
    You will see options like:-
    – “Available For” – It makes the field available to users with those role.
    – “Visible For” – It makes the field visible to those role.

You can customize the availability and visibility there to achieve your goal.

    Regards
