Hey,
This question is regarding:
BuddyPress Group Tabs Creator ProIs it possible to have custom content in each tab for each group?
Example:
Group 1, custom tab, content 1
Group 2, custom tab, content 2
Group 3, custom tab, content 3Thanks!
Hi Liran,
Thank you for purchasing the plugin.Currently, You can use shortcode to generate different content. The content needs to be provided by some other plugin.
We are planning to release a free Dynamic Tab content addon for Group similar to what we did for the profile tabs here https://buddydev.com/create-dynamic-user-profile-tabs-for-buddypress/
It will allow you to associate a a post(post type) to a group and tab combination and you will be able to use a shortcode to achieve the same.
Thank you
BrajeshThank you for getting back to me so quickly.
That sounds like it will do the job perfectly.
When do you plan to release this plugin?
Please allow me till 13th. We will try to push it by 10th but if we could not do it on Friday, will do the next working day.
Regards
BrajeshHi Liran,
Hope you are doing well.I have been able to complete the plugin. I will be working on the documentation this Friday. The plugin will be available for download by Saturday.
PS:- If you want to explore it on your own, I can provide the download today itself.
Regards
BrajeshHi Liran,
Sorry, I had left for yesterday. Uploading the plugin in next 15 minutes.Thank you
BrajeshHi Liran,
Please download it form here
The Tab Content will appear in the Group Tabs menu.
1. Please make sure to crate “Type” for each tab. In other words, We should use the Type as a way to relate to Tab.
2. Please select a group(from the auto suggestion box)
Once you save the post, you will see a shortcode.
The shortcode is based on the type . You can use it inside any of the tab.
If the user visits a tab on a particular group, the tab contains this shortcode and you have added content that belongs to this type and specific group, It will be visible.
I will have more details with documentation by Saturday.
Best Regards
BrajeshWas able to get everything up and running smoothly.
Thanks for all the hard work. It is appreciated.
No rush on documentation on my end.
Thank you Liran.
Glad it worked for you.
Marking it as resolved(Will link to post after release too).
Regards
Brajesh
