Disable BuddyPress Components Conditionally blog post

    Hi there, I just discovered the blog topic ‘disable BuddyPress Components Conditionally’ , and wondering about if this code be used to restrict BuddyPress Private Message Rate Limiter by user roles?

    It is not a BP standard component, but is it possible to make it work with Private Message Rate Limiter, using the “bp_is_active” hook?

    Hi Carsten,
    Thank you for asking.

    I will not suggest using it for components that allow two users to interact, the behaviour may be un-predictive.

    I will suggest avoiding it for Friends/Messages as they involve 2 users.
