Hi,
I try to translate the plugin with poedit, but when I put my fr_FR.po and fr_FR.mo in the ” public_html/wp-content/plugins/facebook-like-user-activity-stream-for-buddypress/languages ” nothing happens…
If someone can help me…
Hi Pellet,
My apologies for the inconvenience. Which strings are you trying to translate?Hi Brajesh Singh,
Thank you for your fast reply I can post now. 🙂So I just would like to translate those sentences in the plugin in French:
your stream by ” fil d’actualité ”
Personal by ” Personnel ”Otherwise the plugin is a must have. 😀
Regards,
Herearii.Thank you.
I am glad that the forum is working for you. Checking now and will get back to you in 30 minutes. The generated mo file should be named “fr_FR.mo”
The only translatable string is “Your Activity”. The Other string is taken from BuddyPress translations.
I just checked it again with some translations and It is working fine here. If it is still not working, are you using some type of translation management plugin too? Also, the locale is set to fr in the settings right ?
If nothing works, Please send me the po/mo file on mail and I can check it too for the issues.
Thank you
BrajeshThank you for your fast reply Brajesh
I try to translate and generate the .po and .mo files with poedit. After that, I rename and place the two files (fr_FR.po and fr_FR.mo) in the file language of the plugin (public_html/wp-content/plugins/facebook-like-user-activity-stream-for-buddypress/languages). I empty the cache too, but nothing happens. The sentence Your stream is the same.
Therefore I try with loco translate plugin but I’ve got the same problem.
Can you give me your email adress to send to you the fr_FR.po and .mo files.
Regards.
Herearii.Hi,
I am sorry for the trouble. Just need to reproduce it. You already have my email( The one on which you contacted me about forum issue). Please send the files there.
Thank you
BrajeshHi,
Thank you for the fast reply. I’m very happy to have got a real support :).
I’ve sent you the files by email.
Hope those files help you to find the problem.
Thank you.
yes, there was an issue. I updated the po file from sources and regenerated the mo file. It worked then. Have sent you the files. That should work. If it does not, Please make sure to check the permission on the mo file and see if it web server can read it or not?
Thank you
BrajeshHi Brajesh
I have found a solution to translate the plugin. Every thing is ok. I change ” fil d’actualité” by “Mon actualité” and everything is ok. I have found the solution to translate Personal too.
Thank you very mush for the support, and have a good week.
Hi Herearii,
I am sorry for the delayed reply. Was away from my desk.I am glad it is solved. Most probably the translation was not regenerated by the editor. Thank you for posting and I am happy it is fixed now.
Have a nice weekend.
Regards
Brajesh
