Is this a way for each member to have their own activity stream in their profile.
That does NOT contain updates from the site wide activity stream updates.
The groups in my website have their own stream and media. I have used a snippet to accomplish this task. I cannot find a way to keep the site wide activity stream updates from showing up on the stream in the members (profile) page.
Please helpobviously I am not a developer. I don’t know a lot of technical jargon. Sorry about that.
On my website I have 3 buddy press activity streams.
Profile activity stream
Groups activity stream
site wide activity streamI want them to work indispensably form each other. I have managed to block ALL activity from the site wide activity stream from going into my groups activity streams. So now my groups have all their own streams. I would like for each member to have their own activity streams that only show updates that have been posted in their profile page. .
All updates that are posted in my groups stay in each group – witch I have
What I want…
All updates that are posted to the “site wide” activity stream – stay in the statewide activity stream
All updates that are posted in the members activity stream – stay in each member page – so any member can go to another members profile and that post will stay in that members profile activity stream.Hi,
It is certainly doable. We will need a bit more clarification though.
What you are looking for is the default behaviour in BuddyPress. Every time you open a user’s activity stream and it only shows their stream. That’s default.
Do you want to exclude the user’s posts in their own groups?
By default, Personal stream only shows user’s activity(update, becoming friends, commenting, user’s post in their group, profile update etc).
Do you want to exclude all these in the stream and limit to some specific activity type?

BrajeshI already have ask the themes developers and this is what they said…
This is standard design with our theme, I’m afraid.
As this is not breaking the page, changing this is considered customization work. Unfortunately, this is a service that we do not provide.
We only share snippet only to solve issues with our theme. Any further request for CSS snippets will have to be part of a defect that needs to be fixed urgently. No snippets will be shared otherwise.
If you want to go further with the customization of your website, we advise that you hire a freelancer to do it for you.
If you’re on a tight budget, we recommend you to require the services from Envato Studio freelancers (https://studio.envato.com/explore/websites-programming). This web platform gives you access to developers who have already experience with theme customizations, and for very competitive prices.
As this issue is related with BuddyPress, it’s best if you try to reach the plugin authors. They will be more informed and better suited to help you.
To go further, we invite you to post your request on their support forums:
https://buddypress.org/support/I have already done everything they told me to..oh well
Thanks for trying.Hi,
I am sorry to hear about it.They are simply misguiding you. I am not aware of any “Social Wall” in BuddyPress. In BuddyPress, there is activity stream provide by activity component.
Since they are providing a BuddyPress compatible theme, They should atleast guide what the social activity is. Have the renamed BuddyPress activity as social or is ti something else?
I am sorry, I am unable to help you with a pro theme.
Regards
Brajesh
