    Hi
we have installated the ffmpeg software on our server for “media press” plugin.

We have php 7.4 and try to install the ffmpeg-php but without success (for cpanl/whm – centos 7).

Do anyone have the verified procedure to install ffmpeg-php ?

    Hi Luca,
    Thank you for using MediaPress.

Please contact your web host and request support for installing the module.

    Regards

    Hi
we have our own server and we are asking if you have a specific procedure for installation or if I can escalate the problem on premium support.

Cpanel support team doesn’t offert support for this.

    Hi,
There is no special procedure. We use Ubuntu server here and a simple apt-get install does it for us.

I am not aware of any such requirement for WHM. Have you tried installing from WHM’s Easy Apache/other app management section.

We do not offer support for installing/configuring servers as that is not our expertise. We do assist with configuring our own software.

    Regards

    Hi Luca,
I just realized that MediaPress doe snot need php-ffmpeg extension. we tried it on php 5.x series and haven’t used it at all since then. The php-ffmpeg does not seem to be available for 7.x

Is there any reason you are looking for it with MediaPress? The Local Transcoder needs FFMPEG executable only.

    Regards

    We have installed :

    root@ns3080641 ffmpeg-php-0.7.0]# ffmpeg
ffmpeg version 3.4.8 Copyright (c) 2000-2020 the FFmpeg developers
built with gcc 4.8.5 (GCC) 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-39)

but seems that when we upload file doesn’t work.

    how we can test ?

    Hi Luca,
In order to troubleshoot, you will need to first check if the videos are queued. you can check it form queue. If they are queued, then please check the directory where your latest video is and see if there is any debug file there.

There is no clear cut way to debug it but if there is an error from ffmpeg, a debug file should be in the video directory.

    Regards
    Brajehs
