Happy new year everyone.
I have BuddyPress Username Changer Version 1.2.6 activated. I know it used to work. (I have Buddypress version 14.3.3 and WordPress Version 6.7.1)
However, I’ve just discovered that when a user changes their username, the page refreshes and shows a 404 “Oops! That page can’t be found.” message, with the URL being examplesite.com/members/OLD_USERNAME/settings/change-username/.
The username is successfully changed though, and their profile page is examplesite.com/members/NEW_USERNAME.
I searched online to see what could be causing this and found this: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/404-and-username-is-getting-changed-when-updating-profile/
So I deactivated some Xprofile field plugins, namely “BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types”, “BuddyPress Xprofile Member Type Field” and “Conditional Profile Fields for BuddyPress” but the issue remains.
I am not even sure if it is a “BuddyPress Username Changer” plugin issue but I thought I’d ask.
Thank you
StephanieHi Stephanie,
Hope you are doing well.I am sorry for the delayed reply.
No worries about the forum selection. It is most probably related to User Name changer plugin and the new BuddyPress URI parser changes. Please allow me to look into it and release a solution in 24-48 hours.
Thank you
