I think I’ve fixed it – I’m not sure why, but it appears to have worked.

I added a page and called it test, then changed the gallery page in BuddyPress to this and the galleries loaded and the pagination worked fine.

I’ve not got my gallery page called albums (and slug) and it works fine:

I don’t have any redirects in place for the page/slug called gallery so I’m not sure what the issue was, but it’s working now at least.

I’m not sure if you have any idea why this was the case.
