Tagged: gallery, group, mediapress, Navbar
Hello,
I’m working on my project on my localhost (with still PHP 5.4.12, I intend to correct that this week).
My theme is Orbis and I installed BuddyPress 3.1.0 and MediaPress 1.4.1 (among other plugins). This is the first time I use these two and I really like them!
I had some issues but so far I managed to deal with them, but there is one thing I can’t solve: I’ve set the MediaPress gallery for my groups but the CSS of the “subnav” element (the navbar “My gallery | Create a gallery | [Medias]) is not corresponding to my theme, although the gallery navbar on the member’s page is ok.
I tried a temporary solution, meaning identifying which classes should be added to this element, and I gave it a try in the C:\[…]\wp-content\plugins\mediapress\templates\mediapress\default\buddypress\directory\index.php but it has changed nothing.
Does anybody know how to fix this?I’m sorry if I’m not very precise in English, I’m French…

BrajeshMaybe a little bit of code could be interesting, the two are in the
<div id="item-body" class="item-body">

GoyelleHi Goyelle,
I will have an update for you today.Thank you
BrajeshHi Goyelle,
I have checked now and it is the BP Nouveau template pack is the issue. They have changed the css classes were used.If you are using the BP Nouveau template pack, Please copy wp-content/plugins/mediapress/templates/mediapress/default/buddypress/groups/home.php to yourtheme/mediaress/default/buddypress/groups/home.php and chage this
<div role="navigation" id="subnav" class="item-list-tabs no-ajax mpp-group-nav"> <ul> <?php do_action( 'mpp_group_nav' ); ?> </ul> </div>
to
<div role="navigation" id="subnav" class="item-list-tabs bp-navs bp-subnavs no-ajax group-subnav no-ajax mpp-group-nav"> <ul> <?php do_action( 'mpp_group_nav' ); ?> </ul> </div>
That will fix it.
Regards
BrajeshHi, thank you so much!
I couldn’t find the right CSS class but I’m glad I wasn’t completely mistaken when I trid to fix this.
It’s working when I change it directly in the file which is in this plugin folder, but not when I copy home.php in folders with the same path in my child theme folder. I guess I’m not doing it the right way. I’ll try to fix this later.Thank you very much for your time and efficiency! You’re awesome.
Regards,
GoyelleHi Goyelle,
I sincerely appreciate your patience and yes, your earlier deduction had saved me a lot of time in finding the problem. Please check the path while copying.
in your theme, you should keep it in mediapress/default/buddypress/groups/home.php
The path I specified earlier had a typo in it. This should work.
Hi Brajesh,
Thanks again, I’m sorry, I read too fast the path you gave me (I did’nt even see the typo).
Moving the changed home.php file from:wp-content/themes/orbis-child/mediapress/templates/mediapress/default/buddypress/groups/home.php to yourtheme/mediapress/default/buddypress/groups/
to:
wp-content/themes/orbis-child/mediapress/default/buddypress/groups/home.php to yourtheme/mediapress/default/buddypress/groups/
was the right way to do it! I clear that in case someone would need this.
I’m really grateful, thank you for your time! I’m changing this topic status to “solved”.
Have a nice day,
Goyelle
