Mediapress – Visitors can’t upload even with shared addon – urgent please!

    Hi there
    Was proposing to use Mediapress for a community event this weekend.
    4 galleries for public upload.

    Have tried to use global shared gallery addon as suggested but no joy.
    Shared gallery is ticked on all galleries.

    Still not allowed to upload if not logged in to site.

    Have replaced “$can_upload = true” in shortcode file and commented out “sorry you are not allowed” etc, but can only get one gallery upload working for non logged-in users – Anyone help please? Due to go live on Friday!!!!

    Hi Simon,

    I am sorry, MediaPress is not suitable for the use case. It will not work for logged out users.
    Only users who are logged in can upload if you enable the global shared(share with all members of the site).

    You may want to take a look at this plugin. They claim to allow guest upload

    There seems to be one more https://wordpress.org/plugins/picture-gallery/ but they are probably aimed at a very different use case.
