    Whenever any user (all user roles allowed) reports anything, the form always returns “There was a problem. Please try again later.”

    Installed on latest versions of WP, Buddyboss

    Hi,
    Thank you for using the plugin.

    Please visit dashboard->Moderation->settings->General and try to uncheck the “Category” from required fields.

    Most of the time, if Categories are not available, this happens.

    Please try and let me know know.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Dear Brajesh,

    Thank you for your prompt response. However, categories were already set. I tried your suggested solution now, just in case, but with no result.

    Kind regards,
    Dimitrios

    Please, mind that the reported object (eg. an activity) is added to the queue but there are no options there to do something with it (eg. approve or suspend, as I understand it should be) other than visit the reported item or delete the report. Another thing I have noticed, is that mass deletion (checking all the boxes at once) is not an available option in the queue.

    Hi Dimitrios,
    Can you please deactivate and reactivate the plugin and try reporting an item.

    The only reason I can see the above error happening is when the report is not saved.

    Are you using a non-english language in the report? If yes, Please provide me the contents for “subject” and “message” field to help me test it.

    Thank you
    Brajesh

    Dear Brajesh.

    Activation and deactivation didn’t help. I am indeed using the Greek language:

    Category -> Αιτία
    Subject: -> Θέμα:
    Content: -> Περιεχόμενο:
    Name: -> Όνομα :
    Email: -> Email:

    Hi Dimitrios,
    Thank you.

    Is there any chance that one of the following is happening:

    1. subject is larger than 100 characters
    2. Or Name is larger than 50 characters
    3. Or Email is larger than 100 characters.

    I tried with some greek texts and when I had large text in subject it failed.

    Can you please check with some small text and confirm me.

    PS:- If you are comfortable with database, I can share the idea on how to change these limits.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Thank you Brajesh,

    I have tried with latin characters and with less than 50 and also without a subject (to not be shown or required), but the problem remains.
    I apologize for giving you a headache over this issue. I hope we can resolve it somehow.

    Best regards,
    Dimitrios

    Hi Dimitrios,
    Thank you for the reply taking time to verify.

    Please use the phpmyadmin and check if this table is present

    bpmts_moderation_reports

    It will be prefixed by your database table prefix. For example, if the prefix is ‘wp_’, Please check if the table

    wp_bpmts_moderation_reports

    exists.

    Pleaselet me know what you find.

    Regards
    Brajesh
